Academic Culture
The academic culture at BCG is extremely important to us. Our students are purposeful and have a sense of pride in their studies. They learn to understand that the way in which they approach their education and the mindset they bring with them each morning is crucial to their enjoyment as well as their academic success. We expect our students to be well dressed, punctual and polite. The school is a very safe environment on all levels and we want our students to feel that occasional failure is a necessary part of the educational process. It is how they respond and react to these hurdles that is important. We want our students to be active, not passive learners. We want them to challenge and discuss, question and debate but always in a respectful manner and with humility.
The IB Diploma Programme and the IB Career-Related Programme are rigorous and broad programmes of study for students from 16 to 18 years of age. Are respected by leading Universities throughout the world and is a benchmark for excellence in education. These programmes allows students to thrive holistically and develop excellent breadth and depth of knowledge.Through the programmes they acquire skills to reflect on themselves as learners and as global citizens, becoming aware of the world and their place in it.
