The British College of Gavà is an official Edexcel International Examination Centre giving license to host GCSE and Advanced Level examinations. From 14 years of age forwards students at the British College of Gavà prepare for GCSE and A-Level examinations which are recognised throughout the world by other schools and universities enabling students to move in/out of BCG with ease.
As the British College of Gavà is a fully authorised British school, pupils are able to validate their studies in Spain. The process is automatic for most year groups, but in the case of Years 11, 12 and 13, the validation depends on achieving a number of pass grades at GCSE and A-Level. The school has a team of mentors who work with students in these year groups in order to listen to their needs and plan an academic programme which will provide the possibility, given good grades are attained, of the desired exit route be it a university in Spain, the UK, or any other country in the world. Students completing British A Levels and wishing to study at a Spanish university are fortunate not to be obliged to complete the ‘Selectividad’, however, may need to sit some of the ‘Pruebas Especificas’ to gain the best possible points score to access the university of their choice.
