As we approach the end of this first half term I write to inform you of arrangements for the final day, Tuesday 31st October.
Following tradition, students in Foundation and Primary School phases are invited to come along to school in Halloween-themed fancy dress. This is our first charity fundraising event of the year and as usual we suggest that students bring in a 'nominal donation' to enjoy the privilege of the non-uniform day.
We have arranged a special Halloween themed assembly at 09:00h. All parents are welcome to come along and see all the children in their costumes as well as enjoy the presentation.
From 16:30h-17:30h students, parents, family and friends are invited to enjoy a 'Halloween Mini-Fair' outside on the school terrace. This is an event organised by the Parents' Events Committee (PEC) including a Halloween-themed 'bake sale' which will raise money for our charity.
We welcome contributions from ALL parents and families in the school towards this fair. If you'd like to give your ideas or get involved, please join our new PEC Google Classroom page where you can share your ideas.
Also, you can sign up for jobs that we need help with HERE
Year 7 have opted to come in fancy dress too; their teachers will be organising interesting activities for them during the day; some ending their themed curriculum unit on 'Origins'.
As it happens Year 8 and Year 9 will both be out on school trips throughout the morning of Tuesday 31st October but will be back for lunch. They have the option of fancy dress but may prefer school uniform. Students in Years 8-11 are not obliged to wear fancy dress and should wear school uniform as the alternative.
Thank you in anticipation of your support. If you have any doubts, do let us know. I hope you can all join us and contribute.
Mr Steve Gallego
